Cake Smash Rossendale Photographer - Arthur Turns One!

Is there anything in this world nicer than cake?  As a adult you might argue that there is...however as a little boy just about to turn one, cake is definitely a top priority!!! Add a whole collection of blue coloured balloons, bunting and a unbelievably cute blue gingham two piece, (with braces)...and we are cake smash ready!!

I met Arthur and his family for the first time during his cake smash and splash session, at my home studio based in Helmshore, Rossendale.  It was my first time doing a cake smash shoot and I really didn't know how he would react with the cake.  I shouldn't of worried though...as soon as mum had put the cake in front of him, he literally devoured every little bit! This boy definitely has a sweet tooth, he could not get enough of this cake!!!  We had cakey fingers, toes, hair, and a butter-creamed face! It was a fantastically messy shoot and the best part was......Arthur loved every single moment,  he only cried when we took the cake away!!

Following a smash is the splash!  This involves washing all the cake away with some soapy suds in a small bath tub.  Arthur also loved having a bath, he was a dream baby! We added some little rubber ducks as friends and I took lots of pictures whilst he enjoyed the warm water. 

We finished the session with a few family snaps, I do love taking family pictures, its amazing how everyone changes as the years pass.  Photography helps to keep these memories current and treasured forever.
