Old Mill Hotel Ramsbottom Wedding Photography

Barry and Naomi's beautiful winter wedding in the stunning market town of Ramsbottom, Lancashire xx

The Old Mill Hotel is a gorgeous hotel nestled deep in the little market town of Ramsbottom, Lancashire. I love it, it really is a hidden gem and has a lovely garden area which is perfect for wedding portraits, a big thumbs up for all wedding photographers.. It's a well established hotel within the local area and has a fabulous wedding team!

Barry and Naomi decided on February as the month that they would be married as Naomi was hoping for a white wedding as she loves the snow!!  Throughout February the snow fell, however on the wedding day it was a beautiful sunny (although extremely cold) winters day!!! It didn’t really matter though, Naomi has decided it would be snowing whatever and had bought snow confetti for all her guests! During the confetti shot, guests were asked to use the 'snow confetti' that the couple had provided. It really did look like it was snowing, totally beautiful and photographed as though it was snow....amazing touch! Check out the results in the photograph below xx

Barry and Naomi instantly fell in love with the venue and chose the Old Mill Hotel to host both their ceremony and wedding breakfast.  Barry and Naomi's wedding was filled with such love, I felt honoured to be a part of their very special wedding day.

I joined Naomi and her bridesmaids for the final stages of bridal preparations, Naomi was looking lovely and although a little nervous, she was really excited for the ceremony and seeing family and friends.  Barry and Naomi's wedding was themed in black and silver with aspects of Barry's Scottish heritage,  handmade thistles on the cake, thistles in Naomi's bouquet and Barry was in full Scottish wedding attire wearing his family tartan in his kilt!!

After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests made there way outside for formal photographs. I don’t spend to long completing group formals, I much prefer to take natural images of guests then posed ones! I then whisked the couple away for some private time and took some lovely natural wedding portraits.  Barry and Naomi coped really well as it was a bitterly cold day, -2 at one point.  Barry and Naomi were joined by more friends for their evening reception where the dancing was in full swing by the time I was leaving!!

I had such a lovely day at Barry and Naomi's wedding, the wedding team at the Old Mill were fab, they really look after their brides and grooms and the wedding guests. Big shout outs need to go to all the amazing suppliers who helped to make this wedding so special, and Jane from Daisychain Photography who was my second for the day, thanks Jane!!
