Higher Trapp Wedding With A VW Camper Van - Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Simon & Krysia Got Married!! A Beautiful Intimate Ceremony In Darwen Followed By A Reception In The Ribble Valley!!

Simon and Krysia got married on Saturday and it was a stunning Lancashire wedding. These two lovely people are genuinely the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, and they did nothing but laugh all day!! I arrived early in the morning to capture all the bridal preparations, whilst my second photographer Gemma was with Simon photographing some groom preparations! Before leaving for the church Krysia and her bridesmaids had some very quick pictures taken with the blue VW Campervan chosen by the couple from Neil at Coach House Limousines. I do love the VW Campervans, they are super stylish and make a unique backdrop for portraits!!

Simon and Krysia once married headed back to the Higher Trapp to celebrate their wedding with all their family and friends, rounding off the day with a sparkler walk before their first dance. Simon and Krysia, thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer, enjoy your sneak peek.

I truly have been spoilt this Easter weekend, not one but two beautiful weddings!! On Saturday Josh and Taylor said ‘I do’ in front of all their family and friends at the stunning Stirk House. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the day could not of been more perfect for the happy couple. They celebrated in style with Paul Guard for entertainment during the wedding breakfast, Paul had everyone up dancing which was lovely to be apart of. Josh and Taylor had opted for a cream and pale pink theme, with lots of roses and candles the wedding breakfast and ceremony rooms looked breath-taking.

Stanley House Hotel - Lancashire Wedding Photography

A Christmas Winter Wedding At Stanley House In The Ribble Valley

Stanley House Hotel is a gorgeous wedding venue, set on top of a hill its position gives stunning views of the surrounding Lancashire countryside, and with the manor house taking centre stage, it is no wonder so many couples decide to say ‘I do’ here!!

Roll back to a very foggy December morning and I was at Stanley House for the wedding of Joe and Catherine as a second shooter, for Jane from Daisy Chain Photography. Second shooters are professional wedding photographers hired by the main photographer to give additional coverage of groom preparations, the ceremony and generally be an extra pair of hands for snapping all the action on the day.

I joined Joe and his groomsmen to take a couple of quick portraits and informal group shots at Samlesbury Hotel before the wedding ceremony.

Joe and Catherine had styled their wedding in cream and gold tones with lots of flowers and candles, the wedding breakfast room looked really beautiful. They also chose to have a cheese cake instead of a traditional wedding cake, once all the formalities were done, we left the happy couple to dance the night away with all their family and friends.

I’ve selected a few of my favourite images from the day, take a look below.

Ian and Caroline are getting married this week, so we decided to catch up for their engagement shoot this morning!! They brought their little boy with them and we had a lovely, although very cold and windy walk around Calf Hey Reservoir near Helmshore.

A Stormy Winter Wedding At Wyresdale Park - Lancashire Wedding Photographer

A Rustic & Super Laid Back Wedding At Wyresdale Park For Noel & Michelle!

Michelle is one the warmest, friendliest brides I have had the pleasure to work with. On her wedding morning, storm Hannah had unleashed her fury with lots of wind and rain and yet there was not one bridezilla moment from Michelle. She truly is a sweetheart, during hair and makeup the rain was actually pouring in through the old ceiling in the North Wing at Wyresdale Park, and Michelle just asked if I needed a brew!! Noel and Michelle, were married at St Mary’s and James Church in Scorton, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by all their family and friends, before heading up to Wyresdale for their reception. They wanted to keep the day lovely and simple; with an afternoon tea, no seating plan, portraits with their dog Lucky and just have a great big party, and you know what, they did just that!!

Noel and Michelle, you guys were absolutely amazing, I loved every second of your big day!! Thank you for choosing me to be your wedding photographer, here is your sneak peek, enjoy!

Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer - Lancashire Wedding Photography

A Beautiful Summer’s Wedding At Mitton Hall In The Ribble Valley.

Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire is just an absolute gem of a wedding venue!! It really is a wedding photographers dream, there are open views of the countryside, lots of little quirky places for portraits, a light and airy reception room, and the great hall with its high beamed ceiling and open fire. Do you think I like Mitton Hall?? Well, you would be right, but I don't just like it, I love it and this is because its the very place I said ‘I do’ and held my wedding nearly ten years ago this December.

Enough about me…let me take you back to August last year, it was summer although on this particular wedding day the weather gods were not being kind and decided that it would rain for most of the day!! I was second shooting for Gemma from Gemma McAuley Photography for the wedding of John and Gianna, they were married in their local church, and then headed to their reception at Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley.

A second shooter, is a professional wedding photographer, hired to provide additional coverage on the day and be an extra pair of hands, for capturing the ceremony, groom preparations and lots of extra wedding details!!

I met up with John and his groomsmen as they were getting ready at John’s parents house, the boys were in high spirits and although it was raining heavily, nothing was going to dampen the mood for this wedding!! After a few getting ready images it was time to head to the church for the ceremony. After the wedding, the guests all headed to Mitton Hall where they were welcomed with traditional ice-cream cones before the wedding breakfast, and DFC kept everyone entertained throughout the day.

Thank you to Gemma for asking me to second shoot for her, I had a lovely day with John and Gianna and always love heading back to Mitton Hall, so if you are getting married at Mitton Hall this year or next, send me a message.

Snowy Engagement Shoot At Towneley Park Lancashire

Jessica & John’s Engagement Shoot - Burnley Wedding Photographer

Yesterday I embraced the cold weather and headed to Towneley Park in Burnley for Jessica and John’s engagement shoot! As the snow had been following all week, we had a walk around the woodlands and the Hall grounds to find the best snowy spots!! With the snow as a backdrop and the sun shinning brightly it truly was a beautiful morning. Jessica and John are getting married this year at The Stables Hotel and it was lovely hearing all about their rustic themed wedding.

Beeston Manor Photography- A Gin Themed Lancashire Wedding!!

Rachel & Scott's Beeston Manor Wedding - Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Beeston Manor is such a lovely venue, set in acres of Lancashire countryside its a converted barn with the wow factor!! Beeston is a family run business and the staff really look after you. My first experience of this beautiful converted farm was last July for Rachel & Scott's gin and blush pink theme wedding. Rachel and Scott love the great outdoors and knew that they wanted a rustic wedding in the countryside. They fell in love with Beeston the minute they visited and knew this would be where they would say ‘I do'.

I met up with Rachel and Scott a couple of times before their wedding to run through plans and what was important to them for their photography, a must have picture of them both with their puppy Baxter was on the cards, and on the day Baxter was super behaved and a little excited that his paw-parents were getting hitched!! Take a look below!!

Beeston Manor Wedding Lancashire-62.jpg

I met up with Rachel and her bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding for bridal preparations, this is one of my favourite parts of any wedding! I love the excitement and the hustle and bustle of everyone getting ready for the big day!! Rachel was one of the calmest brides I have seen and was relaxing having her makeup done when I arrived. Throughout bridal preparations I take a mixture of detail pictures and also natural moments of what is happening. Rachel had chosen a beautiful pronovias wedding dress from Foxgloves Bridalwear and it suited her perfectly, with a cathedral length veil with small diamantes she looked every inch the perfect bride. Whilst I was with the girls, my second photographer Jane was with Scott and his groomsmen documenting all the action!!

Although in July, the weather was not on our side and with umbrellas at the ready, the girls headed to Beeston for the wedding ceremony, stormy clouds and torrential rain did not dampen anyone’s spirits on this wedding day, Rachel and Scott were married in a beautifully intimate ceremony surrounded by all their family and friends., and it was a privilege to witness the love they have for each other.

After the ceremony, guests were served champagne and canapes and then sat down to a lovely wedding breakfast. Even though the weather was extremely stormy and unpredictable, we managed to take all the group formals outside which was really lovely and actually made for some stunning backdrops to both the group pictures and the couple portraits!!

The couple had chosen to decorate their tables in a blush pink and gin theme with rustic elements of hessian added and it really did look beautiful. The wedding day was rounded off by a sparkler walk at dusk and then all the guests partied the night away with the newlyweds, to band ‘The Rush’. All in all a bloody good wedding!! Rachel and Scott you guys were amazing, thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer!! Below are my favourite moments from your awesome day, enjoy!!
